Lívia Lakomy is a Brazilian writer, journalist, Portuguese – English translator . She paid her dues in newspapers, radio, web, press management and law school before moving to New York, in 2013. A graduate of Columbia University with an MFA in Nonfiction and Literary Translation, she now lives in São Paulo, where she continues her translation studies as a PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo,  works as a grad school teacher and freelances as writer and translator.
